IMPORTANT NOTICE: The 2020-2021 WCS school year is Remote. All lessons and updates will be on Schoology.
Dear Parents/Guardians and Students,
The world of Covid19 is nothing like we have ever experienced. These are challenging and stressful times.
Warren Consolidates Schools will have online remote instruction for all grade levels across all subject areas.
What does that look like for my classroom instruction? I will have lessons and activities posted daily on Schoology for the week. These will include reading, writing, vocabulary and cultural activities for my English and Spanish classes.
My main lines of communication will be in this order: Schoology, outlook email ([email protected]) and Remind101.
Assignments will be submitted on Schoology and students will receive grades and feedback on that platform.
During these extraordinary times, we have an opportunity to choose to be extraordinary ourselves. Remote instruction is all about self-discipline and a decision to be a lifelong learner regardless of circumstances.
I hope that in the future when you look back at this difficult time that you can be proud of the fact that you continued to learn and grow as a student and that you didn’t let the uncertainty of Covid19 or the future derail you from showing your Grizzly Pride!
Now let’s get this remote learning party started!
Sincerely,
Mrs. I.M. Hirchberger

Dear Visitors,
SHOW YOUR GRISSOM PRIDE!
Welcome to the 2019-2020 School year.
The above TABS are for each classroom I teach. You will find the class supply list listed there.
You can get additional opening school information on the resources page.
I hope you find this website useful. Here is my general teaching philosophy:
Be Prepared
Be Respectful
Be Inovled
Be Dedicated
EVERY DAY!!
These are the guidelines observed in my classroom. Guidelines help all of us to be active, engaged, and conscientious. They also help us to improve ourselves and to create positive interactions with friends and family. There is no better way to guarantee success in life than being prepared, respectful, involved and dedicated!
Learning is wonderful and it is a lifelong adventure. Learning goes on even without us knowing. We learn things that are important to all of us all the time such as the names of all our cousins, the plots of our favorite TV shows, the phone numbers of our new friends, etc... I only ask that in my class students try to learn and try to open their minds to new words, fascinating stories and challenging ideas. We all have ups and downs, but I expect my student’s personal best every day of the week.
In my class, I create a safe place where students can express themselves as learners and as writers. Students will be expected to write, to read, to discuss writing and to explore important issues in literature, in the world and in themselves.
My motto is: We are a community of readers, writers and thinkers!
